Co-Founder and CEO of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records, Grammy Award winner Kurt Deutsch is credited with reinventing the musical theatre recording landscape by preserving countless Broadway and Off-Broadway Cast Recordings. In 2000, fueled by the revolution of the internet and the music industry, and the evolution of the new wave of musical theatre, Deutsch and three-time Tony Award-nominated actress/writer Sherie Rene Scott founded Sh-K-Boom with the mission of bringing passionate, fresh artists and their music to a whole new audience. A unique new business model was developed through close partnership with Broadway producers.  

 Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records has a catalogue of over 150 albums, a music publishing arm, a theatrical production division and, now, the motion picture THE LAST FIVE YEARS marks their first feature film. Deutsch has been honored with a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album for In The Heights as well as eight Grammy Award nominations and a special 2006 Drama Desk Award for dedication to the preservation of musical theater through cast albums. The catalogue includes: The Book of Mormon, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Pippin, Newsies, Hair, Cinderella, Next to Normal, Anything Goes, Legally Blonde the Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Last Five Years.
