Janet Brenner co founded Theatre on the Green in Washington, CT, and produced theatrical events starring Stephen Sondheim, Alfred Uhry, James Earl Jones, James Lapine, George Grizzard, Mia Farrow, and Conan O'Brien. With Daryl Roth, Janet produced the original off-Broadway production of Maltby and Shire’s CLOSER THAN EVER, for which she won the Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Production, MAC Award, among others. She recently produced a gala concert honoring Jason Robert Brown and Georgia Stitt starring Kelli O’Hara and Brian D’Arcy James. She conceived and wrote the script for THE 60s PROJECT, a new musical that received productions at numerous theatres including CAP21, Trinity Rep, and Goodspeed Opera House. She has developed and produced new scripts with writers Ken Levine, Cheri Steinkellner, Richard Maltby Jr, and Charlie Rubin. Janet is a producer of the film THE LAST 5 YEARS, written and directed by Richard LaGravenese and based on the musical by the Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.
